# Payment link works only after the quotation is printed/saved - Source-Date (SAST): 2024-12-10 12:00; local-vs-export 2024-12-11 13:22 - From/To: Eric → sales - Dest: IA - Review-after: 2027-08-31 - Status: current - Source: company email (Archives/Internal Affairs), 2024-12-10 / 2024-12-11 ## Facts - Before print/save, the quotation being edited is not on the server yet. A Payment Link can appear in the quotation system but **will not work** until the quote is printed/saved. - Do not click the Payment Link inside the quotation screen. Use the link in the generated PDF. - Payment Link is placed on **export** quotations because overseas clients cannot EFT easily. SWIFT costs the client a send fee and the company a settle fee. - For **local** orders, EFT is the suggested method (low fee). All card payments — card machine or Payment Link — carry high fees. - A Payment Link can be made as **buythis.co.za/pay/AM-(order ref)**. Do not use it when it is not needed.
