Drivers / admin leftover
Install log notes:
- App tree copy succeeded (includes DevDriver, Usb Driver, vcredist, PrinterInstaller).
- Some VC redistributable silent installs were cancelled / already-present (
1638). - Virtual printer + USB drivers need elevated admin. Script staged:
C:\Users\eric\Downloads\InkRIP\inkrip_install_drivers_admin.ps1— UAC was cancelled earlier; may still need Eric to run elevated.
Official download methods (AM)
From sources/company/inkrip-download.md / inkrip.co.za/download:
- Setup package (Universal x64) — includes MS runtime; does not include printer drivers → copy/import Printer folder /
.dpfafter. - Zipped Standard package (what Monitor-PC used) — includes drivers in tree; may need separate Microsoft Runtime.
Prefer named V7.2.14.0 builds on cncu. Latest Printer drivers: Printer.zip / Printer.dpf under cncu InkRIP latest version/.
Notes
- Portable / per-user LocalAppData layout is valid for InkRIP Standard ZIP (matches “unzip & use” messaging on newer builds).
- Re-activation after old install: AM warns to clear old registry key before activating again on the same PC (see download page notes) — ask Eric before touching registry.
