# VinylCut 5 — private learning brief (AM.CO.ZA)

**Scope:** VinylCut only. Do not mix with InkRIP workflows, skills, or how-tos.  
**Audience:** Vector (private). Ask Eric when a gap needs a human answer.  
**Land later:** `T:\V\export\software\vinylcut\` on **Eric-Asus** (data PC). Never land this tree on Monitor-PC.

## What VinylCut is for (AM context)

AM.CO.ZA **VinylCut 5** is the vinyl **design + cut** software suite used with AM vinyl cutters (V-Series / V-Smart / V-Auto / Vinyl4 field and sales lines). First-party framing:

- Design, plan, and vinyl-cut from one suite ([am.co.za/brands/vinylcut](https://am.co.za/brands/vinylcut); [vinylcut.co.za/about](https://vinylcut.co.za/about)).
- Two product faces on the same suite: **VinylCut Craft Design** (artwork) and **VinylCut Cutting** (cutter output / cut settings).
- Speaks **HPGL** and **DMPL** so it drives AM cutters and many other plotter-language machines.
- Common shop jobs: signage vinyl, vehicle graphics, craft, contour cut after print-and-cut alignment (optical eye / registration marks), nesting, tiling large jobs.
- Sold / trialled via [vinylcut.co.za](https://vinylcut.co.za/) and Buythis SKU **S-VINYLCUT**; training on [softwaretraining.co.za](https://softwaretraining.co.za/) VinylCut mini-series.
- Latest AM installers live on **cncu.co.za** under the VinylCut / Vinyl4 software folder (prefer AM first-party).
