AM first-party websites

Source policy (Eric 2026-08-17)

These first-party sites are mostly pages a client can open in a browser. Cite them as source_url when a fact comes from them.

Famous public sites that anyone can open (YouTube, and similar) may also be cited as source_url.

Do not cite key-gated or staff-only systems as a source. respond.io (and its API) is only reachable with a key. It is not publicly viewable. Never put respond.io, api.respond.io, or a respond.io contact/message URL in source_url or in a Source section. Same for other key-gated tools (fulfillment.vip stock, internal admin).

When a fact was learned from a private inbox, cite the public page that was shared (Buythis, softwaretraining, a YouTube video, a first-party product URL) and keep the private thread off the public source line. Timestamp is still required. Newer timestamp wins.
