One hurdle, though, is finding a reliable method to hang these pieces. Here’s how we designed the hanging block, step by step: ## Building the Circular Base - Start with a circle shape in Tinkercad. - Refine the edges by adjusting the sides and segments for a polished look. - Set the thickness at 4mm for strength. - Size it to 40mm wide and 30mm tall. ## Adding a Support Block - Choose a square shape, setting it to 4mm thick and 15mm wide. - Rotate it to line up cleanly with the circular base. - Positioned it to extend 11mm outward, accounting for the base’s 4mm thickness. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rTlirB1ckPE](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rTlirB1ckPE) ## Combining the Elements - Use the align tool to centre everything precisely. - Group the components into a single unit. - Export the finished design as an STL file for printing. ## Setting Up for 3D Printing With the STL file prepared, we loaded it into our 3D printing software and took these steps: - Verified the model for any issues. - Replicated the design to print several hangers at once. - Spaced the models to avoid overlap during printing. - Optimised the layout with the “Arrange All Models” feature.
