FastCOLOUR is not thin: Dual Software Firmware\ plus Alignment Tool Firmware Upgrades\ plus XP600 DC-motor-driver upgrade EXEs and a Parameters Update tool. One-product rule: ingested FastCOLOUR Printer (did not fall back to InkX or V-Series).

What this firmware is

FastCOLOUR large-format printers do not use a product-root Firmware\ / Firmwares\ tree (local absent; live 404). Controller / board updates live in three places:

  1. USB ROM image under FastCOLOUR Dual Software\Firmware\ (Usbrom_7th_M174_HCOM_FTL_120820.iic). Companion Chinese tool PDF 工具使用.pdf is not English. A note file mentions PrtConfig_20100629(int).exe as a possible AVG false positive; that EXE is not present locally and is 404 online.
  2. Password-protected board upgrades under FastCOLOUR EPSON Printhead Alignment Tool\Firmware Upgrades\ (ZIP hint in the filename; folder DO NOT USE.txt says this is for special cases).
  3. XP600 DC motor driver upgrades (run as Administrator EXEs) sitting beside the alignment tools; plus Parameters Update Tools V6.0d under Component Manuals\.

Prefer newer wins. Wrong-version flash risk - only when support directs. Support WhatsApp +27 60 600 7000.

English upgrade notes (pointers)

There is no dedicated English "how to upgrade FastCOLOUR firmware" PDF in this tree. Closest English operational docs are the 6090 UV flatbed installation/operation instructions, the Universal XP600 Alignment Tool Manual, and the Dual Software Firmware Chinese tool PDF (not copied). DC motor driver EXEs are labelled "Run as Admin". Password ZIP is special-cases only.
