# MetalWise software notes

English pointers from the local cncu.co.za mirror (`T:\U\C\MetalWise-CNC-Plasma-Cutting-Machine`). **No pricing.** Software installers / ZIPs / firmware binaries / MSI are **not** copied into this KB (URL + local path only). Copied English manuals live under `sources/manuals/metalwise/` (`components/`, `software/`, `drawings/`, `connect/`). Controller firmware packages are in `drivers/metalwise-firmware-index.md` (**6** packages; prefer F2100B `F2000 - 20260506.exe`; binaries URL-only). **Newer wins.** FabriCAM user manual already staged at `sources/manuals/fabricam-manual.pdf` (not re-copied).

## Controller / THC / power-unit how-tos (copied)

- Language to English: three methods (original + Method 2 + Method 3 PDFs) for the **controller**; newer **power-unit** language PDF (2025-11-20) preferred over the 2015 DOCX twin.
- Connect controller to MetalWise 45 / 2017+ plug how-to (~6.48 MB; duplicate plug PDF in Connect folder skipped).
- Lite connectors, motor-connection JPG, consumables, manual-torch connect PDF.
- THC F1620 manufacture manual + Arcbro twin + default wiring JPG + default-values txt (F1620 and Z2020; L09/P09 limit-switch NO/NC).
- Power-unit error codes: E01 temperature / E02 air / E03 coolant.
- Boot freeze recovery: hold **Button 9** (then **DEL**) across power-on.
- Connect-to-power-unit photo sequences: 2016 loose-wires (new PU outside / old PU inside) + Hypertherm Powermax 45/65/45XP.

## Firmware / software (docs only)

Binaries stay URL-only. Prefer **F2100B External THC** upgrade `F2000 - 20260506.exe` (rename to `F2000.exe`) over 2023 `F2000.exe` over 2016/2015 `UserApp.exe`. Match **B vs T** first. See firmware index.

## Skipped this pass
