# Catch Swipe: Bluebird card payment into the quotation system - Source-Date (SAST): 2026-09-01 08:04 - From/To: Eric → sales - Dest: I - Review-after: 2027-02-28 - Status: current - Source: company email (Archives/Internal Affairs), 2026-09-01 (updates 2024-01-16) ## Facts (current — 2026-09-01) - Use **Catch Swipe** as the default card-payment method into the quotation system. **Load Swipe** is the backup method only. - Steps: 1. Wait for the client to **finish payment**. 2. Click **Catch Swipe**. 3. Enter the **exact** amount the client paid. 4. Enter the card **last 4 digits**. - The system then loads the payment automatically. ## History (2024-01-16) - Bluebird card machines can feed the quotation system automatically via Catch Swipe. - Older steps allowed Catch Swipe before or after payment: Catch Swipe → confirm the exact amount (due amount pre-filled, editable) → enter last 4 digits; screen waits for a matching swipe or cancel. - Only Bluebird machines support Catch Swipe. Sales were to get Bluebird units; Support Nedbank; Standard Bank as backup. All VAT / non-VAT Bluebird payments auto-handle. - Manual (non-catch) card loads must use the full UTI so duplicates are not loaded. Newer fullscreen machines also use RRN (see the later RRN note).
