English FTDI ftdi_sio kernel-module how-to. Steps in the source txt: create a temp folder; extract ftdi_sio.tar.gz (gunzip then tar -xvf); make; plug in the FTDI device; lsmod to see if ftdi_sio is loaded; rmmod ftdi_sio; insmod ftdi_sio.o. Notes say the driver was adapted from the 2.4.32 kernel for 2232C and 232R; 232R support is cosmetic if the 232BM driver is already sufficient.
