English FTDI `ftdi_sio` kernel-module how-to. Steps in the source txt: create a temp folder; extract `ftdi_sio.tar.gz` (`gunzip` then `tar -xvf`); `make`; plug in the FTDI device; `lsmod` to see if `ftdi_sio` is loaded; `rmmod ftdi_sio`; `insmod ftdi_sio.o`. Notes say the driver was adapted from the 2.4.32 kernel for 2232C and 232R; 232R support is cosmetic if the 232BM driver is already sufficient.
