Facts

• After a Windows update, the older vinyl-cutter driver stopped working in CorelDRAW.
• Replacement is CutTool: SKU S-CUTTOOL/BLADE — plugin for CorelDRAW, Adobe Illustrator and AutoCAD, for HPGL/DMPL vinyl and flatbed cutters (Windows only). Quoted R1,699 as of this date.
• Also sell CorelDRAW AM.CO.ZA editions that still support AM plugins: S-CORELDRAW/ESS Essentials 2021 (quoted R1,699) and S-CORELDRAW/SUITE Graphics Suite 2019 (quoted R2,399). Current Corel 2024 list price cited as R12,300.
• Graphics Suite 2019 is the full-feature family; Essentials 2021 is the last Essentials that still supports plugins.
• If a vinyl cutter that used the printer driver or older Corel plugin starts cutting halfway then freeze/stop (often after a Windows update), first workaround is VinylCut. CutTool (SKU S-CUTTOOL/BLADE) is the professional CorelDRAW plugin alternative; it also does contour cutting. Demo is on the flatbed-cutter PC. Clients can buy online or from sales.
