How to use Loop Cut for clean corners in FabriCAM CAM (from this page)

  1. This Advanced CAM Configuration Settings part is about the Loop Cut feature (looping the corners of cuts).
  2. Example from the live block: a basic sheet, nest some shapes, Accept, move them to the centre, then open CAM and zoom in. Default path cuts to the edge and then up, which is fine for most cases.
  3. For a cleaner corner, leave CAM, open Configuration, then the CAM tab (fourth tab on this live page). Navigate to the right / bottom where Loop is shown.
  4. Activate Loop and set how far the loop goes. The live block example is 5 millimetres. Apply, OK.
  5. Return to CAM. Loops appear on corners that do not already have a lead in and lead out (those leads also make a clean cut). The toolpath loops around the corner instead of cutting sharp into it.
