  "Transcript": "all you guys in today's video, we're gonna be looking at the compound feature within our objects arrangement, and this will be with flexi print. But before that, let's have a quick intro first. So today's video can be found on software training.co dot Z A. We make sure and easy to watch problem solving videos, and we also have daily updates. Now, if we head into the programme here, so the compound feature this is very handy. It's gonna basically display to you exactly what it's gonna look like when something is printed or cut, especially with overlapping objects. Now, um, it's also gonna convert it into a single layer, which is handy. You can un compound things, and there is a few things to know about it. For instance, if I had to compound this shape, then it's gonna take the colour of the furthest back layer. Um, so, uh, just keep that in mind. And also, if we had to combine by colour, um, we will cover that shortly. So now, in order to compound something, I obviously need the stuff selected. There's two ways we can go about it. The one way is we go to our main menu on top, Click on a range and then you can see uh, we've got compound. Now we have our basic compound. This is kind of a compound just the normal way. The shortcut for that control M and to un compound. We can see there a control J. Then we also have a feature compound by colour, and this we will normally only get here through the main menu. Another way we can go about it is we can simply right click our selected objects. And then we go to combine a T the bottom sa me way we found the grouping and then you can see here we've got compound. Now, if I had to select this with a current setup, you can see now we can see when this is gonna be cut, where it's gonna be, where it's gonna be the overlapping shapes and how it's gonna cut it out. Very handy feature to see the end result how it's gonna turn out, and then like I mentioned, also, it will take the colour of the back shape. Now, this is one of those rare cases which, other than colour, it doesn't really matter which ones in front. So I'm just gonna undo that. Grab this thing hit control page down, put it behind, and then let's select that again and we do the same. OK, right. Click com combine compound. Now you can see we've got the same result just with a different colour. Now, let's look at quickly compound by colour. So I'm just gonna make a few different shapes here. Um, I just keep a circle to simplify things, overlap them or ovals, I guess in this case. And then, uh, change some colours. So I'm gonna make this one. Let's make it orange, this one orange. Now, if I had to use the normal compound tool with these one selected, then you will see it's gonna show us where all the overlapping areas are gonna be and the cut out of that. Now, if I had to go, however, to our arranged menu on our top main menu and then, uh, S fix our zoom there again and then we go to compound, then we go compound by colour. Now, what this is gonna do is only gonna compound the colours or the ones with the same colour as you can see there. So now these two shapes are compounded together and those two shapes. But another thing you might have noticed is our actual stroke has been removed, and that is because it has converted these shapes to outline. Um, just worth noting. But yeah, otherwise, that is it on compound. Very handy if you wanna look at Like I said, what the print and final cut is gonna look like Where's the overlaps and so forth?
