# Liquid-ring vacuum: hot return water and flexible hose

## Facts

- CNC liquid-ring vacuum pumps can send **steaming-hot water** back to the tank. That is not friction: under vacuum the boiling point of water drops, so return water can boil at a lower temperature.

- Fit a **flexible hose/connector** on the vacuum-pump water return into the tank rather than only the rigid factory hose. Flexible hose is easier to align and less likely to break during install.
