SKU LLM-UV/5 is the 5 W UV marking laser (showroom unit as of this date).
UV marking is endothermic (ultraviolet), not heat-based, so it can mark heat-sensitive materials without the same thermal damage as a fibre marker.
Suited to glass, plastics, wood, and paper. Fibre is generally more suited to metals; UV covers most non-metal marking.
A 5 W UV beam is about one third the width of a 20 W fibre beam; UV absorption in the spot is described as 3× vs fibre, compounding to about 9× with the smaller spot.
The set includes a chiller to hold diode temperature over long runs.
