Using a [Rotary Attachment](https://buythis.co.za/lc-6040l-80) can be a bit tricky but here’s how: Step ONE: Connect [Laser Cutter](https://buythis.co.za/laser-machines) and let it boot up and be ready for a job, adjust the rotary rollers to allow your cylindrical object to seat and roll correctly. Measure the Diameter and put it into the controller [Menu>User Setting>Rotating]. Step two: Press Menu>Manufacturers Setting>{please contact our engineer team for your machine admin password}>Y-AXIS>Step length>Copy Step Length value. Open RDWORKS, do an engraving file 30mm x 30mm or use dimensions that suit you best. and send to the machine and engrave on a cylindrical object covered in masking tape with power set low and speed set high just so you can print on the tape and not the object. Use formulae Actual Distance/Design Distance x Step length value for Y-axis. The result is input into the Controller and also save it so you can use the value again each time you use the rotary. Step four: Re-print the same job as on the test to check if dimensions are no longer stretching. If correct, then proceed to Part 2 Video using the link below: [https://youtu.be/lv8Bt4ZYITg](https://youtu.be/lv8Bt4ZYITg) Final step: Run the job desired using the Video in Part 2 https://youtu.be/lv8Bt4ZYITg Watch video on YouTube https://youtu.be/lv8Bt4ZYITg **This Article Is the first part of a Series on Setting-Up, Using and Reverting a [Laser Rotary Attachment](https://buythis.co.za/lc-6040l-80) on a TruCUT Laser.
