# CNC machine lubrication how-to videos (AM training / support)

**Product:** AM.CO.ZA **lubrication for CNC routers, lasers and other machines with linear guide rails, runner blocks and ball screws**: AM's NO-STOP high speed rail oil, automatic and manual oil pumps, oil cans, runner block nipples, divider blocks and oil hose. This index collects the 2 AM videos on keeping those moving parts oiled that were not yet listed in another AM how-to index. Deduplicated by watch ID across all AM how-to index pages (channel indexes alone do not count as how-to coverage).

**Source:** local AM YouTube dump `youtube.jsonl` (main / tools channels; refreshed 2026-10-18 00:25 SAST). First written 2026-10-18 17:32 SAST with 2 videos. **YouTube was not crawled.** Titles and watch URLs below are taken from the dump as written. Videos were **not** watched. Both videos have a spoken transcript in the dump, and the summaries are paraphrased from it only. Nothing was invented to fill gaps.

## English dump titles (2 unique watch URLs)

Grouped by topic. AM-channel uploads are framed as **AM training/support sources**. Each watch URL is a source.

### Rail oil: NO-STOP high speed lubrication oil for linear guide rails and runner blocks

How to oil linear guide rails by hand (2020, paraphrased from the dump transcript):

- **Why a thin oil:** NO-STOP is a thin oil made for fast-moving guide rails. Unlike thick engine oil it causes less friction and attracts less dust, which cuts downtime and helps the moving parts last longer.
- **Move the carriage to one end:** on each axis, move the runner block to one end of its rail. Usually you move the whole carriage the block is mounted on, using the direction keys on the machine's control.
- **Wipe on a thin layer:** brush or wipe a thin layer of oil onto the rails with a brush or a non-woven cloth.
- **Jog back and forth:** move the carriage back and forth a few times with the direction buttons. The bearing seals push most of the oil aside, but enough gets inside the block to do the job.
- **Wipe off the excess:** wipe the extra oil off the rails afterwards so it doesn't collect dust.

The video says the oil can also be used on the other moving parts of AM machines.

### Automatic oil pump: setting the pumping time and pumping interval

How to adjust an automatic oiling pump (2025, paraphrased from the dump transcript):

- **What it does:** the pump sends oil through pipes to the runner blocks, the screws and the other axes.
- **Too much oil:** if oil often drips from the bottom of the blocks or from the guide rails, wipe it off; seeing it often means the pump is giving too much oil.
- **Two settings on every model:** press (or press and hold) Set. The first setting is how many seconds each pump runs (10 seconds in the video). Press again for the interval between pumps, which is set in minutes. Press again to save. Press and hold to pump by hand.
- **Adjusting:** if it pumps too much, shorten the pumping time first. Once the time is down to 1 second, lengthen the interval instead. The presenter says the interval tops out at 999; if there is still too much oil at that setting, the likely cause is switching the machine on and off very often, because the pump runs a cycle each time the machine is switched on.
- **Typical setting:** a few seconds of pumping with a long interval.
- **Low oil and bypass:** the pump beeps when its oil is low, so top it up with lubrication oil. To bypass the pump, the presenter opens its cover and removes two wires; only do this if you know the machine's wiring, or ask AM support first.

## Related SKUs (Buythis dump and am.im product JSON only; no prices, no stock)

Product names come from the Buythis product dump (`buythis.jsonl`; **not crawled**) and am.im product JSON. Prices and stock are not stored on this index. Only the rail oil video names an exact product, so the other rows are current AM lubrication parts that match what the videos describe. Check each product page for fittings, sizes and compatibility before quoting.

## Notes

- Matching: AM dump titles about lubrication oil and oiling pumps, minus any video already in another AM how-to index page. Channel indexes listing the same watch URL do not count as how-to coverage.
- Pump settings are the presenter's guidance; follow the machine's own manual where it gives a schedule.
- Older videos may show earlier pack sizes or hardware versions; quote current specifications from the product page.
- Live stock is never stored here; check the live stock feed for availability.
