# Laser engraving on unusual materials: how-to and showcase videos (AM training / support)

### UV laser marking on leather, ceramics and sunglasses

These clips show AM's UV label marker on materials clients ask about:

- **Genuine leather (2026):** a client asked whether genuine leather can be engraved. The clip says AM's UV label marker can, because it had already been tested on rocks, metals, sheets and cloth, and after a few setting adjustments it shows the engraved leather. Clients are invited to bring in their own material for AM to test.
- **Ceramic tiles (2025):** a quick tip for the Labelmark UV laser: engrave on the back side of the tile and repeat the pass at least eight times. The settings themselves are shown on screen and are not spoken, so they are not in the dump.

### Eggshell, food, coffee stencils and acrylic trophies

- **Coffee art stencils (2024):** stencils for cappuccino foam are cut on a CO2 laser from 1 mm transparent PET sheet, chosen so you can see the cup underneath (any sheet you have will do). The stencil is drawn two to three millimetres larger than the mug's rim, with a teardrop tab to hold it while cocoa powder is poured over it, and the artwork (words, or a shape such as a rose) is placed inside before cutting. The clip ends by testing the stencil on a real cup of coffee.
- **Title only (no spoken transcript in the dump):** artwork engraved and cut into an ostrich eggshell (2023), lasering an orange (2025), and Plexiglas cut on a CNC laser with the application tape left on, to make trophies for the 2018 Porsche Club Parade.

### Bracelets, silver, 3D crystal and laser art projects
