A3 DTF: tees from your counter

An A3 DTF printer prints your design onto film, you powder and cure it, then press it onto cotton, polyester or blends.

The AM.CO.ZA A3 range runs one EPSON XP600 printhead. The sets differ in two ways: how the powder goes on, and how much software and consumables are included.

How to choose

Baking-oven sets (H-DTF/A3, A3R, A3S, A3T) pair the printer with a powdering oven. They're the smallest bench.

Automatic-powdering sets (H-DTF/A3P, A3PR, A3PS, A3PT) add a powder shaker, so less hand work per sheet.

The R, S and T letters step up from InkRIP software only to a complete package with inks and powder. Start with a complete package if this is your first DTF printer.

When to send this

Scenario: Buyer wants tees or small runs and says A3 / desktop / starter DTF. Sell one A3 set; don't compare it with 60cm unless they already print daily.

Who it's for: First-time garment printers, schools, small brands and side businesses printing tees, caps and bags in small runs.

What to pitch:

Sell a complete set (S, T, PS or PT suffix) rather than a barebone printer, because the buyer needs RIP software, inks, film and powder on day one.
Show the powder choice clearly: an oven set is cheaper and smaller, while an automatic-powdering set saves labour.
A flat heat press is required to apply the transfers. Add a Heatware flat press to the quote.

Objections:

"Can I use it without a heat press?" No. DTF transfers are pressed onto the garment, so add a flat press.
"Is A3 big enough?" Yes for chest and back prints on most tees. Move to 300 or 60cm once you print every day.
"Why not an inkjet conversion?" These sets come with white-ink DTF hardware, InkRIP and AM.CO.ZA training and support.
