DTF printers (textile) — story
Brand: am.co.za. Companion to dtf-printers.md. 2026-09-07 03:03 SAST.
Textile Direct-to-Film is the strongest small-shop garment loop in this KB reading: print white + CMYK on film, powder, bake/shake, then heat-press onto tees/hoodies/workwear.
First shop: A3 package (H-DTF/A3…/XP600) or 300 mm class (H-DTF/303 / 306). Prefer InkRIP / FlexiPRINT — not AcroRIP for a new sale. 600 mm when they already have volume.
Always pair with a flat heat press and the consumable loop (white ink, colour, powder, film). Do not sell a press and hope they “find a printer”.
Johannesburg is the realistic pick-up warehouse. Demo machines are sellable. A missing required roll (e.g. H-DTF/ROLL/300) does not hard-kill the package conversation — say majority is here and order-to-install already takes time. Never invent wait days.
