How to close the CAD feature in FabriCAM (from this page)

  1. Closing CAD is not the same as closing the whole FabriCAM application.
  2. File → Close Application, or the window X, closes the whole programme. Do not use those if you only want to leave CAD.
  3. There is no small X on the CAD workspace itself.
  4. Open File (top left) and choose Close CAD. Do not choose Close, which also closes the application.
  5. Close CAD returns you to the base FabriCAM programme.
  6. Save first if you want to keep the work. Close CAD without saving leaves the shape gone when you go back.
  7. Habit: Save, then File → Close CAD. You do not have to quit the programme each time.
