How to use Pre-Piercing in FabriCAM CAM (from this page)

The live page body is short; the on-page "Video Transcript" block is the step source. Raw auto-caption is not copied in full; no transcript invented. Cleaned steps from that live block:

  1. This Advanced CAM Configuration Settings part is about the Pre-Piercing CAM setting.
  2. Example from the live block: a basic sheet, Flat Parts, add a shape, add two of them, nest, move to the centre, then open CAM. Default path uses a lead in and a lead out on the line.
  3. For a cleaner finish, leave CAM, open Configuration, then the CAM tab (fourth tab on this live page). Navigate to the right where Pre Piercing is shown.
  4. Activate Pre Piercing, Apply. Returning to CAM still looks the same until you choose what to pre-pierce. Select the shape; a Pre Piercing option appears. The live block notes you can also do the external contour; the example selects the two internal holes.
  5. Because there are two shapes, use apply for all parts of the same shape so the setting is not only on the first. OK. Back in CAM, a red circle over the entry shows the pre-pierce, then the actual cut.
  6. Recap: Configuration → CAM tab → activate Pre Piercing, then in CAM pick the contours to pre-pierce. The live closer also names https://softwaretraining.co.za/ search (top right) and the on-site request-a-training-video form if a video is missing.
