  3. The previous video (Part 4) covered importing the project and a basic channel overview. Previewing only the White Channel showed grey where white will print. On the example graphic, only the teeth / eyes showed as white. Printing that on a black or red T-shirt would let the background colour show through those areas.
  4. Use this setting when the graphic is a PNG with a see-through (transparent) background, not a white background. Open the transparency tab. At the bottom is use Alpha Channel data for white (named on the live block; the same setting mentioned when default job properties were set earlier). That means transparent stays transparent and white stays white (live-block wording; not rewritten). The tutorial left it off first so the problem is visible, then switched it on.
  5. Go back to channel preview and wait for it to load. With the setting on, the white areas show as a solid colour, so whites print white (the teeth in the example). The live block calls this straightforward.
  6. Also set it on the printer default job properties (live-block spelling includes "Right leg"; not rewritten as the caption; cleaned step is right-click the printer then default job properties) so new imports get the setting automatically instead of per graphic. If moving between printer files makes the project disappear, drag another copy in, fit it, and confirm the setting is enabled on each printer.
