How to do the Transformation Practical (from this page)

  1. This Part 6 is a Transformation Practical / challenge on the 3D transformation tools in PrintUP, after Part 1 Move, Part 2 Rotate, Part 3 Scale, Part 4 Ungroup, and Part 5 Model List.
  2. Import the AM.CO.ZA graphic from the install root folder: File > Import Graphics, then the AM.CO.ZA logo DXF.
  3. Duplicate it and transform the current shapes into a new logo from the current logo. Rearrange words or duplicate using Model List and transformation tools already covered.
  4. Pause and try the challenge, then compare with the on-page walkthrough.
  5. Demo from the live block: duplicate with the selection tool and move the copy aside so the original can be edited.
  6. Ungroup: select the imported logo, then Order > Ungroup.
  7. Delete unused pieces (the recording removes the C and part of the I) so leftover strokes can be rearranged.
  8. Rotate with 45-degree snap still checked to form an L-like shape, then move pieces to reword.
  9. Scale with uniform scale off so height and width can be changed separately; use the move tool to fit.
  10. Scale a circle's width and height into a ring around the new word; disable snap rotation to fine-tune.
