How to reduce corner cutting speed in FabriCAM (from this page)

  1. This Advanced Machine Configuration Settings part is about reducing torch / cutting speed at corners.
  2. The live block starts from a basic sheet-metal sheet with a square that will be cut.
  3. With the setting on, when the cut gets close to a corner it slows down, finishes the corner, then speeds up again.
  4. That is meant to give a clearer finish and less messy corners.
  5. In FabriCAM, open Configuration → Machines (the live block calls this the third tab) and open the cutting technology table at the bottom.
  6. Activate reduced speed in vertices. The live block shows default speed 75%, distance before vertices three mil, and distance after three mil (then it speeds up again).
  7. Apply and OK. Keep in mind the setting is on: if corners later misbehave, check whether this setting is still active.
