How to use vs not use Layering / Layer Process (from this page)

This Part 1 is Layer Process in PrintUP, first of the Using and Setting the Layering Feature mini-series (body Mini-Series points at already-ingested Layering INDEX WP 28645; body next points at unused Extrude Settings ?p=28647). Layering lets a design print different layered colours, not only a single standard colour.
  2. The live demo sample starts blue, changes to orange, then returns to blue. A two-tone (one colour at the start and another at the end) is also named. The live closer names this as layer process on channel letters.
  3. Layer process can already be enabled while remaining invisible until Preview. Slice the design first under the advanced finalising tool, then click Preview to see the current layers (the live demo shows a colour, a separation layer, then the normal colour).
  4. Open Characteristics on the main menu, then Layer process at the bottom right. Top control: Layer change / Enable. Unchecking greys the rest and prints one colour; settings are kept so enabling restores them. Advanced settings under that are left as-is on the live demo unless a change is required.
  5. The layers list shows layer 0 / 1 / 2 with height (when the colour changes) and extruder (left vs right colour). The live demo matches a blue / black / blue stack: layer 0 is the first blue.
  6. Height can be raised so the middle colour occupies more of the letter (the live demo moves the change toward 30%, slices again, then Previews; black goes higher). For two-tone only, right-click the last layer and Delete, then slice and Preview. Right-click Add restores a layer; the extruder colour can be switched to right without deleting.
