How to double the image channel color in CorelDRAW (from this page)

  1. This Doubling Up Color Channels part is about duplicating / doubling a colour channel and exporting the image.
  2. The previous part converted the image from RGB to CMYK. Switch the Channels docker to all channels if needed.
  3. Example on this page: a channel (the live block uses yellow; it also names cyan as another possible weak channel) is only printing about half of the colour.
  4. Optional reference: Object, then right-click Duplicate of the background so you can compare. Hide the top copy and work on the bottom image. The live block says you do not have to do this step.
  5. With the image selected, go to Adjust, then Channel Mixer. If values are already set, Reset.
  6. Set colour mode to CMYK. Set Output Channel to the weak channel (yellow in the live example).
  7. If that channel is outputting about 50, raise it to about 150 so it is about twice as much. If it is still washed out, the live block says you can try up to 200.
  8. Export: File then Export. Pick a location and name (the live block uses "double up colour"). Keep JPEG for the CMYK feature. Confirm merge. Set colour mode to CMYK rather than RGB unless you know otherwise. Leave other export settings default unless you know what you are doing.
  9. Recap from the live closer: image, then Adjust, then Channel Mixer, CMYK, pick the channel to double, add about another 50.
